Peer supervision <<< back

As a peer supervisor I offer supervision

  • if you're already an accredited coach, or
  • if you're looking to gain accreditation as a coach, or
  • if you're neither but want to ensure the professionalism of your practice

I offer a collaborative and confidential working relationship where you can:

  • Explore the challenges you face as a coach in a safe and supportive environment
  • Check for blind spots and ways in which you might be getting in your own way
  • Step outside yourself and get a fresh perspective
  • Utilise feedback to advance your practice and grow in confidence and competence
  • Identify further development needs
  • Ensure you are adhering to ethical standards, working within your own competency levels, and upholding the best interests of your client
  • Review your work and reflect on your practice

‘Having supervision is a fundamental aspect of continuing personal development for coaches, mentors, organisational consultants and supervisors, providing a protected and disciplined space in which we can reflect on particular client situations and relationships, the reactivity and patterns they evoke in us and by transforming these live, in supervision, profoundly benefit our clients,’

Hawkins & Smith (2006), Coaching, Mentoring and Organizational Consultancy, Supervision and Development

'Sue Clarke is an experienced AC Accredited Master Executive Coach, the consummate professional when working with clients, who maintains best practice in her approach. She is an intuitive and insightful Coach and Coaching Supervisor who continually seeks to raise the bar, whether working with clients or with fellow Coaches. Sue brings a level of empathy in her work balanced by a pragmatic approach. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sue to anyone who is considering being coached – it will be one of the best decisions you can make!'

Jeannette Marshall, AC Director of Accreditation

AC Coach Accreditation:

Supervision is essential to achieve and maintain AC Coach Accreditation.

I meet the criteria for being a coaching supervisor as specified by the Association for Coaching, work within the AC Coaching Competency Framework, and subscribe to the AC Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors.

As a trained and active AC Coaching Accreditation Assessor, I am familiar with the process of AC coach accreditation, can provide guidance on becoming accredited with the AC or maintaining/upgrading your AC coach accreditation, and am happy to complete a Coaching Supervision Report for your AC coach accreditation application.
